Director of SEO

Does the challenge of enhancing digital visibility drive you? Do you view algorithm changes as opportunities rather than obstacles? Does your idea of a thrilling day at work involve elevating websites to new heights of search engine prominence? If you're nodding yes, then it’s time we talk.

Go Fish Digital seeks a Director of SEO who is both a strategic thinker and an effective leader. This role goes beyond traditional SEO—it’s about leading a skilled team to develop and execute strategies that produce tangible results and drive business growth.

You will:

  1. Lead with expertise. As our go-to SEO expert, you will oversee our SEO team, mentoring and leading them in implementing cutting-edge strategies that deliver.
  2. Manage Profit and Loss (P&L). You'll be in charge of the financial outcomes of the SEO department, from budgeting to forecasting and everything in between.
  3. Drive client success. You'll not only maintain exceptional relationships with our clients but also ensure their SEO campaigns exceed expectations, making them evangelists of our work.
  4. Innovate and strategize. You'll constantly develop new tactics to overcome algorithm changes, pushing the boundaries of what SEO can do.

You should have:

  1. Proven experience in SEO management. You've led SEO strategies at scale and have significant experience managing teams and large projects in an agency setting.
  2. Exceptional leadership skills. You know how to inspire, motivate, and guide a team towards achieving excellence in every task.
  3. Strong financial acumen. Experience with managing a department’s P&L is essential, as you'll be making key financial decisions.
  4. Deep technical knowledge. From the latest SEO tools (like Moz, Ahrefs, STAT) to Google Analytics and beyond, you have a toolbelt packed with everything needed to succeed.
  5. Analytical prowess. You're adept at diving deep into data and deriving insights that others might miss.

Guidelines for Your Application

What We Need: Alongside your resume, craft a one-page cover letter that gives us some perspective into your unique journey and passion for this role. Don’t forget to mention your salary expectations.

Handling Attachments: Some platforms can be tricky. If limited to one file, combine your resume and cover letter. Bonus points for work samples — links in CVs or resumes are good, too!

The Weight of the Cover Letter: It’s more than just a formality – it’s our first introduction to you. Make it count. Without it, your application won't be reviewed.

Note on ‘Quick Apply’: This feature can sometimes miss essential details. Ensure all our requirements are met — incomplete applications won't progress.

Adherence to these guidelines is paramount.

Missing out will cost you a spot in the process. And then, we all miss out. And that bums us out. Don't bum us out. We value attention to detail, and this is your chance to show that off.

We appreciate the effort you put into your application and look forward to getting to know you better!
